Sardines
Sardines have a strong flavour, and after poaching them I leave them to cool, make some hot buttered toast, spread it with the sardines without breaking the little fillets, and top with lots of lemon juice, freshly ground pepper and a little salt if needed - simple and really good. I also like the dressing.
